DESCRIPTION:Self-care and de-stress advice for students during COVID-19\nYou will hear from well-being professionals on mental health support programs and discuss strategies to assist international students during times of stress. We will also hear a student’s perspective\, highlighting the barriers and facilitators to engaging students. \nPresenters:\nAngela Wang\, Project Officer\, Student Minds \nAngela is the Project Officer for Student Minds at UNSW and is currently in her final year studying Advanced Science and Commerce. She has been involved in the Student Minds program in various positions since 2017 and is passionate about mental health and wellbeing for students. Angela will share the student’s perspective\, highlighting the barriers and facilitators to engaging students. \nRoisin Trainor\, Health Promotion Coordinator\, UNSW \nRoisin is a Health Promotion Coordinator at UNSW with a focus on student mental health and wellbeing.  Roisin completed a BSc. in Nutrition and an MSc. in Health Promotion and Public Health before moving to Australia in 2015. Her work focuses on improving the mental health literacy of students through training and workshops. Roisin will discuss the importance of self-care and stress management for International Students and how UNSW currently engages students in these activities. \nAsha Zappa\, Mental Health Promotions Officer\, WayAhead Mental Health Association NSW \nAsha is an Art Therapist\, Researcher\, Consumer Advocates\, and WayAhead’s Mental Health Promotion Officer.  Asha has been collaborating on the project 10 Tips to Stress Less for University Students Campaign with WSU\, supported by UNSW and ANU. She will discuss the campaign purpose and resources. \nRowena Sahib\, Mental Health and Well-being Promotions Coordinator\, Western Sydney University \nRowena has been collaborating on the project 10 Tips to Stress Less for University Students Campaign with WayAhead\, supported by UNSW\, and ANU. Rowena will discuss the project including the application and use of collateral and future University program design.

It will be relevant to all practitioners who provide advice to international students who are weighing their study and career options. \nProf Chang is a sought-after speaker on issues related to international education in Australia and New Zealand. There will be provision for Q&A during this 60 minute webinar and opportunities to share. \n\nPresenter Information:\nAssociate Professor Shanton Chang is Associate Dean (International) at the Melbourne School of Engineering\, The University of Melbourne. He has been involved in building the internship program at the university\, mentoring students\, and engaging with industry partners to enable positive graduate outcomes for students. He continues to keep in touch with industry partners and alumni\, to understand the needs and expectations of employers. He has spoken publicly at many forums on International Student employability. He is also one of the co-founders of Victorian Working Group on International Student Employability (VicWISE). He is also an ISANA Life Member.
