This session is a collaboration between ISANA International Education Association Inc. and peak body, Tenants Victoria, which runs the dedicated state-wide legal centre for renters.
Specifically designed for workers supporting international students, this session will explain rental rights from the point of view of international students. Key topics covered include tips when applying for a rental or joining a share house, strategies to protect rental bonds, and steps to get repairs done quickly. Participants will also gain practical resources to better assist international students in navigating Victoria’s rental market.
This session will be delivered by Ben Cording, Tenants Victoria’s Lead Community Education Lawyer, who has over a decade of experience in rental law, including seven years as Principal Lawyer. Ben brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for advocating renters’ rights.
