Turning Accommodation into a Winning Solution:

The presenter will disclose opportunities and solutions pertaining to the current perceived international student accommodation crisis. This will include releasing current data and information on what relevant trends were happening before and during COVID and what is happening now. The lessons learned from this will be presented as a framework for real solutions.

David will also provide a high-level update on a specific and current global international education ‘PESTLE’ (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, and Environmental). Participants will learn issues and opportunities from the PESTLE that they can use in their own business development activities. The goal of this session is to leave participants in no doubt about what they need to do to maximise their international student numbers and competitiveness in this new challenging world of international education.

Biography:

David has been a pioneer in the industry since 1999. Originally led the OSHC deregulation through Allianz by leading their marketing and business development. Founded the Australian Homestay Network and MyStay International. A key contributor to Government inquiries on international student welfare and accommodation.

Appointed to the NSW Government Taskforce on International Education and Research which led to the formation of Study NSW.  Also championed the Council of International Students of Australia (CISA) and received an ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ from CISA. David is an acknowledged and accomplished strategist and is considered an expert in delivering effective international student accommodation solutions.
