“The job can be as big as you want it to be… but there’s not enough time. And there’s only one of me…” (Student support manager, Australian university)
This session shares findings from a global research project with student support practitioners working on the front lines and strategic leadership roles in higher education institutions. In a series of interviews, we asked them to take us deep into the minutiae of their daily work, where we heard about the practical realities of international student support and what it takes to keep things on track, day after day.
Sharing the voices and experiences of our interviewees, the session explores how you can surface what’s happening in your own institution, and consider your own sustainable approaches to student support.
