Keeping students connected and supported during COVID-19

It will be a great opportunity to hear from students, who will share what’s important to them, and discuss ways advisors can help facilitate connections among their students during and post COVID-19.

You will also hear from ISLA (international student leadership and ambassador at the City of Sydney) and CISA (Council of International Student Australia) representatives about their student engagement strategies during COVID-19.

Domi Johnson is the National Education Officer of CISA and the recent graduate from University of Sydney. She has been representing CISA in boards including the StudyNSW International Education Advisory Board(IEAB) with the passion to advocate and lobby for rights and needs for all international students in Australia.   She is passionate and has been enthusiastically involved in various roles to contribute the best for international students in australia.

Nithya is a recent graduate from the University of Wollongong, with a master’s in supply chain and project management. She is an International Student Ambassador for the City of Sydney since 2018. She is also the Event Coordinator for the Women’s office at the Council of International Students Australia (CISA).

Nayonika Bhattacharya is a 4th year Arts/Law student at UNSW. She is passionate about creating platforms for young women in tech and reforming the law to make it more accessible. She is a City of Sydney ISLA Ambassador, MHAHS International Student Advisor, Executive Assistant to the CISA Education Officer and the UNSW Student Council Welfare Officer.

You are welcome to share with your colleagues as these sessions are open to members and non-members at no cost as a sign of ISANA’s support the entire international education sector.
