Assoc. Professor Shanton Chang, University of Melbourne, will address the following key points:
-What are the important competencies that enhance employability and how can students be supported to do this in a virtual environment?
-How can international students conduct virtual desktop research to understand the expectations of companies and corporations?
This webinar will also consider options for international students’ community engagement as the sector recovers from the impacts of Covid-19. It will be relevant to all practitioners who provide advice to international students who are weighing their study and career options.
Prof Chang is a sought-after speaker on issues related to international education in Australia and New Zealand. There will be provision for Q&A during this 60 minute webinar and opportunities to share.
Presenter Information:
Associate Professor Shanton Chang is Associate Dean (International) at the Melbourne School of Engineering, The University of Melbourne. He has been involved in building the internship program at the university, mentoring students, and engaging with industry partners to enable positive graduate outcomes for students. He continues to keep in touch with industry partners and alumni, to understand the needs and expectations of employers. He has spoken publicly at many forums on International Student employability. He is also one of the co-founders of Victorian Working Group on International Student Employability (VicWISE). He is also an ISANA Life Member.
