Implications of emerging EdTech

Panel Overview:

Educational Technology (EdTech) has evolved rapidly from its early iterations as embedded videos in slides and computer-assisted communication. Today the world of EdTech, the combined use of computer hardware, software, and educational theory and practice to facilitate learning, has grown into multi-faceted tools.

The onset of the global pandemic has brought the role of EdTech into the limelight as student learning, support, and experience moved off campuses and into the online sphere.

The panel will discuss and explore the following:

  • How has the use of EdTech met the challenges for students and staff as they moved into a different learning space?
  • The role that student support plays in facilitating the EdTech student experience
  • Future collaborations between education providers and the EdTech sectors including examples of new types of user interface for students/staff
