Foundations of Student Advising

This session will look at the foundations of what it is to be an ISA, effective management for international student advising, meeting the requirements of institution, government and visa – why it’s needed by institutions and what it encompasses for the ISA, the institution, and the students.

It will then look similarly at risk in this space; why risk management is an essential element of good practice in international student advising, how to apply it and what it means for the institution, the advisor, and the student.
