Student Wellbeing

Join us for an engaging online session focused on supporting student wellbeing, with an emphasis on mental health. This event will explore practical ways for educators to support students balance study, life and work and maintain overall wellbeing. The aim is to build staff confidence in recognising early signs of distress and knowing how to respond appropriately. Hear from organisations working directly with young people and diverse communities, each sharing insights and strategies in short, focused discussions.

Topics will include:

  • Supporting students manage the demands of study, work, and everyday life
  • Supporting learners through anxiety, stress, and burnout
  • How teachers, lecturers and support staff can recognise the early indicators of mental health concerns and support students
  • Informed use of AI for mental health wellbeing
  • Accessing culturally appropriate youth support services
  • Referral pathways and professional boundaries
  • Supporting financial wellbeing

Each presenter will deliver a 20-minute discussion, offering practical takeaways and opportunities to connect with support services.

The Student Success and Wellbeing team provides a free and confidential Counselling and Wellbeing support to all enrolled students in a safe, private, and confidential space. Counselling is available to assist you with any issue that affects your studies. They can support you to build the confidence and resilience needed on this journey. The Counsellors are a team of highly skilled and caring professionals, who can assist you to reach your goals. The Counsellors will listen to your concerns and assist in exploring options and solutions that suit your needs.
