Project
EA has developed a National Code ELICOS Sector Compliance Guide (online and hard copy) that maps the revised National Code standards against existing NEAS Standards for ELICOS providers. The Guide highlights any new requirements that may require additional resources and identify how this can be addressed in a cost effective manner. The Guide also provides examples of how providers can demonstrate compliance with new standards and provide a self-assessment checklist. Providers were informed through a series of seminars on the compliance guide.

Project
TDA has analysed the quality and compliance processes for the former National Code within a major TAFE provider with a significant international enrolment in each of four states. These processes were assessed against the requirements of the revised National Code with the aim of identifying any gaps in the procedures for the 2007 National Code. Processes and policies were developed for the institution selected. The outcomes were communicated to all TAFE institutions.

Project
ACIVC offered staff development on specific National Code standards through a series of workshops. The project included surveying the target audience of ACIVC, WAPETIA, and COPHE members to confirm the focus of workshops and to seek feedback on draft material. Training materials were provided to participants and ACIVC members were encouraged to seek assistance of ACIVC on compliance issues. The workshops and materials were made available to non-members and an online version of the training workbook is made available to the public through the ACIVC website.

Project
The ISCA project was to develop a National Code Transition Handbook for independent schools. The handbook identifies for schools the areas of change from the former National Code and will assist schools to comply with revised National Code. It will do this by providing a guide to compliance, which is suitable for the schools sector.

Project
ACPET has developed an Easy User Reference Guide to the National Code for private providers. To do this, ACPET mapped changes between the former and revised National Codes, ran workshops with ‘trainers’ to create templates and then had the ‘trainers’ run seminars and workshops in each state to test the draft Easy User Reference Guide. The feedback from the seminars was used to produce a final Easy User Reference Guide, including sample templates, which is made available online and in hard copy.

Project
La Trobe University has developed:
- A list of the steps needed to evaluate current policies and procedures against the revised National Code;
- An audit checklist to facilitate amendment to processes to enable compliance with the revised National Code; and
- Policy Templates to ensure compliance with the revised National Code in at least the following areas; Standard 5 (younger students), 7 (transfer between registered providers), 9 (completion within the expected duration of study) and 10 (monitoring course progress).
