Best Practice International Student Engagement Project
Deakin University has been contracted by the Australian Government to implement the Best Practice International Student Engagement Project under the International Education Innovation Fund (IEIF). The project team has undertaken desktop analysis and a series of workshops to identify enabling and inhibiting factors in international student engagement. Three surveys targeting institutions/stakeholders, international students and international graduates have further enhanced the early findings. A series of interviews have consolidated the international student engagement framework. Danielle will provide an update on the key themes identified so far and strategies to be implemented to showcase good practice in supporting international students.
Launch of the 2023 VicTas Conference Theme and 2023 VicTas PD Calendar
The ISANA VicTas Committee is delighted to launch the 2023 State Conference Theme and the 2023 Professional Development Calendar. ISANA VicTas would like to encourage involvement in the 2023 State Conference by all in the sector. We want to hear about your projects and programs that make a difference to our international students. This session will also provide the opportunity for participants to network with others, hear their stories and consider joint presentations. The Professional Development Calendar for 2023 will outline the sessions to be offered, addressing key issues of interest to the diversity of stakeholders working with international students.
