Deakin University, funded by the Australian Government under the International Education Innovation Fund, has developed a series of six Guides, a Framework, a Virtual Map providing directory to support services for international students, and videos of good practice stories to support international student engagement.
The Guides and resources focus on key aspects to support international student engagement and promote good practice across the sector. These aspects include mental health and wellbeing, teaching, language and learning, intercultural and community engagement, accommodation, crisis navigation, and work integrated learning and employability.
The ultimate goal is to enhance international student engagement across these key areas that will lead to a positive student experience. The Guides provide education providers across the sector and related stakeholders with principles, practical guidance and good practice examples to inform the design and delivery of their international student engagement activities, services and programs.
